Warehouse Associate

Position Description

Position Summary

This position’s primary focus includes daily shipping and receiving duties, cycle counting, production orders, shipping logistics, facilities maintenance, and warehouse quality system activities assigned by the Warehouse Lead.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

The following list details the principle duties and responsibilities for the Warehouse Associate position.

  • Ensures all company warehouse procedures are followed (quality and accuracy).
  • Work closely with Warehouse Lead to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
  • Follow quality procedure.
  • Perform regular cycle counts.
  • Process incoming shipments utilizing business software to verify accuracy and identify proper storage locations.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting damage to supervisors.
  • Utilize Ready To Pick process to ensure all customer orders are filled on time as prescribed by order parameters.
  • Follow process for production orders via business system.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Good verbal, listening and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Must have personal initiative and drive to seek out what needs to be done, or ask others what they need assistance with
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and ability to learn company inventory software
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to operate forklift

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma and/or equivalent required
  • Previous warehouse/shipping & receiving experience preferred
Physical Demands and Responsibilities
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision; color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
