Bench Top Bender (BTB) Adjustment Knob Change
Change effective date: January 31st, 2023
As part of a continuous improvement initiative, the adjustment knob on the Swagelok Bench Top Bender is changing from a three spoke design with a brass speed knob to a two spoke design with a retractable speed knob. The change has no impact to function but will improve the longevity of the knob and overall performance of the tool. Future repairs to the roller knob for the brass three spoke design will require replacement to the new retractable design. This change applies to both the manual and electric versions of the bench top bender. The basic ordering numbers that will use the new knob are shown in the table below:

The ordering numbers above only represent a portion of the part number. Reference MS-01-179, Tubing Tools and Accessories, for detailed information on how to assemble an ordering number. This change will be phased in by the supplier as existing inventory is depleted with an expectation that the manual model will be transitioned by end of January.
