Make-A-Wish South Carolina
As we continue to monitor the current situation with COVID-19, Swagelok Georgia | Jacksonville | South Carolina would like to be responsible, respectful, and transparent in our decision regarding our 9th Annual A 'Fitting' Cause Charity Golf Tournament.
With that being said, we have decided to postpone our event for the Fall of 2020. No date has been rescheduled as of yet. Raising funds from small businesses, collecting donations, and requiring a fee to play during this economic crisis is not how we want to help our loyal supporters.
We have communicated with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and they support our decisions. However, more than ever before, Make-A-Wish needs our collective support. Wishes are waiting. Currently, 70 wishes for South Carolina children have been postponed due to COVID-19; waiting until it's safe to be together once again. With COVID-19, new health worries are present, bringing added isolation and vulnerability for wish kids and their families. While fighting their illness, children are now anxiously counting the days until their wish will be granted. Their families are counting too. But with our collective support, we can help Make-A-Wish prepare now to ensure all types of wishes are granted— when it's safe.
You can help to ensure that no child is asked to wait any longer than necessary to experience the power of a wish come true. We hope you can join us in supporting Make-A-Wish. If you so choose, you can support Make-A-Wish directly at http://site.wish.org/goto/swagelok. Or visit www.sc.wish.org to view other ways to get involved. Swagelok Georgia | Jacksonville | South Carolina will be matching funds dollar for dollar up to $10,000. Let's see if we can raise a little money even without the golf tournament.
Swagelok Georgia | Jacksonville | South Carolina will continue our volunteering efforts in our communities and take action to help stimulate the economy. We appreciate your continued commitment to our efforts, and thank you for your understanding. We look forward to 2021 when we can come together as one to support Make-A-Wish again.
